Since 1976, the Post has been granted a charter from Scouts BSA for Scout Troop 1402. As a family troop, boys and girls 10-years or older are welcome to become a member. Troop meetings occur year-round on Friday nights at St. Pio Church in Roseville (18720 13 E Thirteen Mile Rd). The Troop has helped 86 youth attain the rank of Eagle Scout. In 2025, Eagle Scout Uma Ludwig was named the State of Michigan VFW Eagle Scout of the Year.
